3 Must-Have Fall Jackets

Fall Jackets

Fall Jackets

It may not feel like Fall where you are; here in Michigan we are experiencing temperatures in the 80s instead of 50s like we are used to. However, I know the cold temps are coming!

As you may know, I have been curating a Personal Style Collection and documenting exactly how to this on my blog. So far we have talked about why to curate a Personal Style Collection, how to clean out your closet, and where to sell or donate your unneeded clothing. Next topic is one of my favorites, Fall jackets!

Fall Fashion is my favorite type of clothing to buy and wear and jackets are a huge part of Fall Fashion. Here is a list of what I find essential to a women’s Personal Style.

The Leather Jacket

A leather jacket is essential. They are warm and give instant”edge” to any outfit. Pair it with jeans for a dinner date or with a tulle dress for an evening gala to create a dichotomy. Mine is made by Michael Kors and the leather is so soft and supple, it’s one of my most favorite pieces.

The Denim Jacket

Denim jackets are so versatile. They add just enough warmth for a brisk day out, or are a great substitute for a sweater inside if you get cold. I like to pair mine with black leggings or black cropped pants. For years it was taboo to wear a “Canadian Tuxedo” (jeans with a jean jacket) but Kylie Jenner has recently been spotted wearing this combination, so it may be trending up. I have the Robyn by AG Jeans which has a little stretch to it, so it’s extra soft and cozy.

The Rain Jacket

Unless you live on the Kona side of the Big Island of Hawaii, you probably experience rainy days throughout the year. Having a waterproof  jacket is a great idea. I like a bit longer style for around like a trench or this simple and super clean looking jacket by Arc’Teryx but you can get a short one made by The North Face for about $100.

Having the right jacket for the right purpose really adds a bit of polish to your overall look. If you invest in a higher piece it will last you for years!
